THE place for authentic schnitzel! You know a place is great when they have a small but elegant menu. Service is always fast but never rushed. This is one of our favorite places to eat in cola!
Absolutely fell in love with this restaurant! I wasn’t sure how I was going to like everything, so I was pleasantly surprised when it was all amazing. Great flavors, outstanding service and the atmosphere was wonderful. The dessert was fantastic as well!
We stopped for some German food in our way to Charleston and we loved the Schnitzel. The potatoes was not really a German stile. I had the Plum Streusel (I missed it a lot), but I can nearly taste the plums . Too much dough, this is not Plum Streusel, sorry. A bit disappointed, but at least I gave it a try.
Listen, my first time there and Candice gave me the red carpet. She explained and gave me samples of several food items. Everything was scrumptious.
Always fun to go get German food. It's si different from what we eat daily. They have a German salad that is so so good. I believe it comes with the meals but I got it as a side with some potato out and it was so yummy. Perfect for those that can't have fried stuff or don't want a heavy meal. I also tasted the pretzel! Oh my goodness - very good!
Julia’s really took me back to when I used to be stationed in Germany as an Army soldier many years ago. The food was great and so was the service. I had Snitzel with egg and potato salad. There was a wait to be seated but it was worth it.
Stopped here by chance the other week: this is an absolute incredible hidden gem in the area. The interior is inviting and friendly. It was nice chatting with the owner some. The food is impeccable and reminds me of the quality of things cooked at home. The schnitzel had an impeccable fry, was bountiful in size, and tasted incredible. While I started with it plain, I did try some of the toppings, all of which were great (especially the gravy and red cabbage). Also a great selection of different German beers beyond the standards. Start to finish it was tasty. Anytime I'm near Columbia I'll definitely stop back in!
Enjoyed! Stepped in recently one afternoon out of the blue to grab lunch with a friend and really enjoyed the authentic food and atmosphere. I was stationed in Germany years back while serving in the military and this place brought back many memories. All positive! Also the friend I brought has a german heritage and she said the Schnitzel was spot on. We tried the one with cheese sauce and mushrooms, as well as the krout, potato salad and green bean salad. All super good and authentic. Definitely a treat just for lunch. I can only imagine the beer at their killer bar and their brats. Will be going back to try more.
